Seeing as I will have so much spare time this summer to do ANYTHING I WANT (that sounds so appealing right now), I've decided to compile a Films To Watch List.

27. Run Fat Boy Run*

At the cinema:

1. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
2. Slumdog Millionaire
3. Push
4. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
He's Just Not That Into You

I just stumbled over Gnomeo and Juliet as well, which made me LOL.

I might as well do a book list too while I'm at it...

Books!

1. The Time Traveler's Wife
2. Inkdeath
3. Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox
4. Eclipse
5. Breaking Dawn
6. What I Was
7. Blink

They're rather pathetic looking lists at the moment. XD Any suggestions?

1, 3, and 9 (I feel so ashamed that I haven't seen it!) are definitely on my to-watch list also. Yay for Across the Universe!

Hmm. Have you seen Enchanted? I think you'd like it.

We are bad James McAvoy fans.

Oh yeah, I have! I did like it, but not as much as I expected to from the trailers. I think my expectations were just too high.

Fine then. :P Other random recs:

- Tuck Everlasting. It's a tiny little bit like Twilight, but older and better!

- Death at a Funeral. It's kind of horrendous at times, but unbelievably funny. Plus, Matthew McFadyen is in it.

- The 1995 Sense & Sensibility movie. I haven't seen very many Austen adaptations so I don't know how this compares, but I enjoyed it.

- Pan's Labyrinth. I'm not sure it's your type of film, but it's unique and intense and worth trying.

- 21. Yes, I plan on continuing to badger you about Jim Sturgess movies! And I needed to add one rec without the word "but".

LOL! You're very good at debating the pros and cons with yourself. :P

Tuck Everlasting? I've never heard of it. How old is it?

Death at a Funeral... The one with all those random British comedy actors in it? If it's the one I'm thinking of, I think should definitely see it one day! Or am I thinking of Confetti? Hmm. I'll add it to the list anyway! :D

I've seen the BBC adaptation of Sense and Sensibility from last year, but that's all. I think I'll watch that one day too, my mum is bound to want to if it's on the telly again.

Pan's Labyrinth looks SCARY. That faun thing terrified me even in the trailers! It did look intriguing, but I just wasn't sure if it would give me nightmares or not. :P

21! I definitely want to watch that.
BUT... I have no idea what it's about.

THANK YOU LILY ♥ I now have much to do over my summer holidays :D:D:D

The book Tuck Everlasting is from 1975, and the movie based on it came out in 2002. It's not reeeeally like Twilight, but it deals with the whole mortality vs. immortality thing.

Oh lol, the faun isn't even the creepiest thing in Pan's Labyrinth! It's definitely a heavy movie and has some scary/grisly bits, but I liked how it combined brutal reality with a fairytale. You can always cover your eyes, which is what I did quite a lot! XD

I though I told you what 21 was about. :P It's about super smart MIT students who learn card-counting and win lots of money in Las Vegas. It's like a sexier, high-rolling version of Starter for Ten. :D

Oh, cool! So not that old then. I'm not so keen on older films, but not really sure why. I was thinking it would be from the 1950s or something... XD

Meep! The faun isn't the creepiest thing? I'm going to be terrified. Unless I have something big to hide behind/hug and someone to remind me occasionally that IT'S NOT REAL. XD

Oh yeah! LMAO. I have the worst memory ever. It's all coming back to me now... One of my friends has it on DVD and I've convinced her she wants to invite us to her house to watch it. I can tell them what it's about, now that I've remembered you reminded me. :P The only thing I could recall was that it had Jim Sturgess in it and he was hot. XD

It's like a sexier, high-rolling version of Starter for Ten. :D

That comparison is just the best thing ever. Now I DEFINITELY need to watch it.

Pan's Labyrinth is just kind of wierd, although there are some icky bits but they're not that bad :)

:O You commented! I am in shock. Will you watch Pan's Labyrinth with me too? I may have to build a cushion fortress of some sort. :o)

i'm not totally sure what films you would enjoy, but i'm thinking Match Point and Baz Lurhmann's Romeo + Juliet, if you haven't seen them :)

Thank you! <3 I liked Romeo and Juliet too - Clare Danes is unbelievably pretty in it. What's Match Point about?

it's follows an ex-tennis pro (hence the title) as he ends up marrying into an upper class english family. it's a romance/drama type thing, i don't know how to explain it and do it justice!

here's a trailer on imdb :)

Quickly off the top of my head there's:

Labyrinth
You've Got Mail (I <3 Meg Ryan + Tom Hanks)
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Shaolin Soccer (HOMG, the lulz)
The Mask of Zorro (and the sequel)
The Day The Earth Stood Still (Jennifer Connelly still lookin' pretty)

... I can't think of anything else. My brain is too full of politics to be of any help! XD

Hee, thank you! I've heard One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is supposed to be one of those films that EVERYBODY has to watch at some point in their lives. I've seen You've Got Mail and The Mask of Zorro, but it was ages and ages ago - perhaps they need a rewatching. :D
