Due to the total lack of reading that I managed to do last year (mostly due to school and TV distractions), I've decided to run off with a book list idea from xprincessbloomx. So here are my aims for books I am going to read this year:

The pilot for Ugly Betty was really good. I'm glad there's going to be something to watch on tv, what with Torchwood and Robin Hood having finished and no Doctor Who until March/April (but OMG can't wait for Jack being reunited with the Doctor). There's a serious lack of good tv all of a sudden - they're not even showing any Never Mind the Buzzcocks or repeats of Coupling any more. :o(

BUT it has managed to free up time for more reading, considering I barely read any books at all last year. The fifth Artemis Fowl book was fantastic, especially after the disappointment of the fourth one. I'm reading Wintersmith now which is pretty good, although as me and Jo discussed, the name Tiffany isn't a good name for the central character. Feegles, on the other hand, I approve of wholeheartedly. The 'oh, waily waily waily' is just so cute. :D

Went on a mini book-buying spree today! 3 books for £7! Kind of. Bought Lirael, Abhorsen and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, using my £5+1 book vouchers :D The Curious Incident... is so amazing! As soon as I read the first page, I knew I was gonna love it. I haven't technically finished it yet, but so far, it's just incredible. So good.

Kind of annoyed that we had to go and eat at an Indian restaurant this evening, tonight of all nights! Amy aka zee_the_wolf all the way at the other side of the world :'o( finally got Internet and (I am assuming) was on MSN! Tonight! When I wasn't here! Tonight!! Of all nights! Indian restaurant! Where nearly everything was hot and spicy except for the ice cream! *grumbles*
